It's funny, my husband and I used to own a Christian coffeehouse, but neither one of us drinks very much coffee! I do like a cup of coffee in the evening sometimes, and occasionally during the day, but I found that I was throwing away a lot of coffee, whenever I made a whole pot. So one day I was shopping online, and I saw the Juan Valdez One Cup Pod Coffee Brewing System. I had never heard of a coffee pod before, and I was curious. It was on sale at Redtag.com for only $19.99, which is outrageously low, so I ordered 2. (I'm a gambler!) I have seen them online from $50.00 to $70.00.

The coffee maker has a steam pressure pump, and it brews very rich, tasty coffee. It has a universal pod holder, which means you can buy any brand of coffee pods that you prefer, and they will fit. It also has a removable 40 ounce water tank. All you do is plug in the pot, pop in a pod, push the button for a 5 ounce, or 8 ounce serving, and wait a minute or two. Seriously, that's all there is to it, and it makes delicious coffee. I've been using the Folgers coffee pods, and was able to purchase them at Wal-Mart. I've tried Classic Roast and 100% Columbian, and loved both of them. They are available at most grocery stores and discount stores. Some also carry the decaffeinated coffee pods, as well as French Vanilla. An assortment of brands can also be ordered over the Internet.

It is such an easy cleanup, with only a few parts to clean, and you just throw the single serve pod away. One design flaw that is aggravating is that the place where the water tank fits is a little loose, and I have on occasion spilled the container, when accidentally bumping the machine. This makes a huge mess, and I believe they could design that part a lot better. Also, be sure that you insert the coffee pod well down into the pod holder, to avoid leaks. But all in all, if you don't drink a lot of coffee, this single serve coffee pod machine is wonderful. (By the way, I'm glad that I ordered two, and I have both of them on my counter. They don't take up much space, and I can make 2 cups of coffee in about one minute.) Juan Valdez--I think I love you!
