The High School Musical Sing-It game for PlayStation 2 was on my daughter's birthday wishlist. The commercials showed children and adults singing the popular songs from the High School Musical movie holding a microphone. It looked like a fun game that she could play with her friends.
I purchased it at a local Sears for $49.99. The package included the game and a microphone, although there is an option of purchasing just the game if you already have the microphone. The game is easy to set up and you can choose many modes of play. The idea is to try to sing the songs the best you can in tune. The game judges your singing against the game standard for rhythm and pitch and you get points accordingly. We started with the story mode that unlocks songs as you master them. This story mode starts with the first High School Musical movie and then goes through the sequal.
The other option is a party mode where you play against other players. This has been fun for us when people who know the movie and songs come over. The graphics in this game are fun, and you can choose a character and their clothing before the dance on the screen during your song. This game has been enjoyed by everyone in our family (ages 3-adult) and we are very satisfied with this purchase.
