A recent business trip took me to Nashville, TN. The company put me up in the Holiday Inn at Brentwood. Brentwood is a suburb type area of Nashville and is relatively close to downtown. On approach the hotel was very easy to get into, with all the enterances from the road clearly marked. However, it only had one enterance to the lobby, and that door sometimes was a little slow to open (I almost ran into it several times). The lobby was very spacious and clean. I was promptly greeted by the hotel staff every time I came in, and even when I was leaving. I had a room with two twin beds, that according to the sign on the back of the door went for a normal rate of $189.00 a night. The beds were pretty comfortable, and the sheets had that freshly washed summer time smell that makes you want to curl up under them. My room was nicely cleaned every day with out excessive disturbance of my items. They even included a card to allow you to tell them not to wash the sheets (apparently its an enviromentally friendly choice). My only two real difficulties were with turning the bath water to the shower nozzle. The method to do this wasnt very obvious, and the girls at the front desk said alot of people dont figure it out. The other item was that other than the first night I couldnt get enough of a signal for the wireless network to connect. The remodeling on the top floors may have had some repeaters out, but was still frustrating. Overall, a good hotel, a bit pricey for my budget, but then the boss was paying.
