I fell in love with these candles at first sight. They are sold in clear jar glasses and designed to look exactly like fruit preserves; you can actually see pieces of fruit or berries inside. Only when you open the jar you will see that it is a candle since there is a wick sticking out of the "preserves, " and even then you might be fooled because it is not the wick but the smell people normally notice first. Yes, the candles are scented, and the scent imitates that of the given preserves. There are several different kinds available - cherry, apple, raspberry, peach. Peach is my favorite, I think it looks the best and smells the closest.
I have bought these candles as gifts many times, and have tricked numerous friends by offering them "a small jar of jelly." Some actually had to be warned not to eat it. The candle is a bit more costly than others of its size, but it is worth it.
