Hostel is like a car crash. You hate it, but you can't look away. Really, all this movie was marketed as, was an hour and a half long torture fest partially directed by Quentin Tarantino.

I wasn't let down in that regard. Granted, you had to put up with about a half hour of Eurotrip style naked women and lame comedy to get to it, but I was then witness to some of the grossest scenes in any movie I had ever seen.

Hostel stars nobody famous, and has lots of torture, gratuitious nudity, and an awesome final stage of revenge. State 1 reads a lot like Eurotrip or some other coming of age comedy, which then plunges you out of that and into a pointless slasher film for forty minutes, only to let you off the slasher hook and provide you with an awesome Tarantino inspired revenge climax.

Don't go out of your way to see it, but watch it if it is on.
