MY STORY I went to LA with my cousin and my brother's gf, to visit my cousin's bf and the city. My cousin stayed at her bf's house, and my er sister-in-law you can say, and I stayed at the hotel so they can have their privacy. We wanted to be able to walk to the mall when we were on our own. My "sister-in-law" and I stayed at the hotel from Fri noon until Mon morning.THE GOOD It was really cheap, totalling at $282.39. The more nights you stay, the cheaper each night is.We got this "Frequent Traveler Program Card." It's pretty much a stamp card where your tenth night is free. I've never seen such a thing for a hotel before. It was only about 2 blocks away from the mall Glendale Galleria. As you can see in the photos there, there was a pool. There were PALM TREES.Every morning, my "sister-in-law" opened the blinds and you could see the sun rise, as well as PALM TREES.As you can see in the photos, there was a table large enough to hold 4 McDs meals. As you can also see in the photos, there was sufficient space for all of our many shopping bags.THE BAD As you can see in the photos, those palm trees were chopped off the 2nd morning we were there =( We're very glad we got to see and take pics of them the first day though. You couldn't tell on the website photos, but the pool is actually sort of in the parking lot. As we wandered the neighbourhood, all other INNs had the same sorta pool though.Which brings me to my next point: it's not a hotel. It's an INN. It's my first INN experience. It's much smaller and has no exercising amenity room. The complementary fruits / coffee / etc in the lobby area weren't always available. I think they were only available on our first morning there. They stored everything away afterwards =(The microwave and minifridge (with no minibar!) is in the washroom area. Well, there's the toilet and shower area, and the sink and mirror area with a door and such in between. And the microwave and minifridge are beside the sink. Ew.It's not the safest area. As my "sister-in-law" and I wandered around at 10pm one restless night, some male Mexicans in a car yelled out, "WOOOO!! I LOVE ASIAN GIRLS!!"SUMMARYOkay, as small as it was, as NON-hotel-ish it was, I still loved it. When I came back, I found a site that said it's a 2-star "hotel." I think the fact that it was by a mall, in LOS ANGELES, at such a cheap rate, and the sunny palm tree-filled view made me love the experience nontheless. I shall choose to return if I don't decide to stay at my cousin's bf's home next time.Apparently my brother might come along too next time. I sure won't share a hotel with him and his gf. >
