I decided to travel to Honduras back in January with my fiancée who is from Honduras to see his country and meet his family. I was a bit scared because the reviews were not that great for Honduras especially with some of the news reports I have been reading. Therefore, I insisted that we stay at a resort or hotel for this trip. Upon arrival, I would have to say it was nothing like what I was expecting. The hotel is very secluded, it is a gated community located 20 km from the airport in La Ceiba.

I booked a standard room, the room was very standard it required more help maybe some maintenance; along with some updating but it was clean, and comfortable just not all that updated. We had a balcony that over looked the beach with two hammocks and I was very impressed with this because this is where I spent most of my late nights. There is open bar every night at the bar, bonfires, and parties nightly for the guests. As for the food, it was routine for the 9 days we were there and every two days we had the same thing for breakfast lunch and dinner. However, after inquiring we found out for a fee you can have the chief make anything you want so we had crabs and fish from then on for dinner.

The Beaches are very nice you will not find blue water but you will enjoy it. They have many Pools and you can swim right up to the bar in one of them. The hotel allows local people to access the facilities for the restaurant and it gets a little crowded. I travel a lot probably once or twice a year and found this hotel very good in terms of amenities but lacking in room appearances. They offer tours that include horseback riding, helicopter rides to Raton, Copan to visit the Mayan ruins and a variety of other activities that include diving walking through the rainforest and in room massages. My fiancée and I had a full body couple's massage for 40 US. The people were very friendly. So if you decide to travel here and expect luxury in terms of the rooms this is not the hotel for you. However, if you want adventurous amenities and fun packs your bags this place has more things than any resort I have ever been for a fraction of the cost and once you find yourself, there you will be so relaxed. I am also a very out door kind of person so this might be why this was a incredible vacation for me because I hardly spend any time at all in my room I was out and about enjoying the hotel tour packages
