This was a great choice for Mother's Day this year. My mom has a very excitable pooch that gets the same exact expression shown on the back and front cover. I like the bright, feminine colors used as well, especially the pink, lavender and orange. The card's message is especially appropriate for our relationship and feels like it was written just for us.
I was brought up to believe Hallmark is best. In fact when I was younger, whenever my mom and I received cards at the holidays, we always flipped the cards over to make sure they were by our favorite brand.
Nowadays, I usually buy Hallmark, out of habit, but I also buy indie (Independent) cards that are amusing or edgy in some way. I also buy quality but inexpensive cards, no matter what brand they are.
When my mom got her card, she loved it and thought it was so cute! She also became worried that I spent too much. Mothers can be so funny. She saw my personal message had been printed on the left side of the card. From what she knew about Hallmark, she knew I must have ordered the card online. I didn't want to reveal to her that I didn't spend anything at all, so I just said I got a deal on it.
In April, I heard from a friend that Hallmark.com was offering a free 5x7 card for Mother's Day. I was thrilled about it and jumped on the promotion right away. They even sent it with free shipping. This card usually costs $3.49 on the site and is in the section, Mother's Day.
