I bought the HP Desk Jet printer to replace our old one so we decided to buy an all in one to give us the capability to scan, print and copy. It connects via a USB cable and was easily set up for windows. My husband has been using the scanner to scan old family photos into the computer and has been quite pleased with the results.
It has a one button copy feature that allows you to make copies independent of having the computer on. You just press the button it scans your document and then prints it out. We have pleased with the quality of the printouts however there have been a few shortcomings.
The printer seems to go through the ink quite fast. It seems to loose its connection to the computer every time it runs out of paper. We have to unhook the USB cable and reboot the computer to get it to run again. Lastly when printing it seems to forcefully eject the paper which leads a mess on the floor if you are doing a multipage document. Considering the relatively low cost for all the features the printer has it turned it to be a good bargain.
