At the beginning of the year, our 5-year-old Gateway was starting to take a turn for the worse. But it had lasted us a good 5 years and we had the money to buy a new computer. So we went to Best Buy, and while my sister and I wanted a computer that was on sale last time we were there, it wans't on sale anymore. So we had to keep looking and found the HP Pavilion Elite. I looked it over and thought it was a great deal! Not even 2 weeks later after getting it set up, it turned itself off. Come to find out, the power supply had pretty much fried. So we had to replace it. A week later, same thing. I was starting to get upset. So we bought yet ANOTHER power supply but this time, it had a higher wattage. If you're thinking about getting an HP Pavilion Elite, change the power supply if it's going to be on quite a bit. The one that comes with it doesn't last very long. But everything else is great! It's wicked fast, it has a lot of memory, and I love that it comes with Vista already installed. But make sure you have a great virus protection because it can be a little moody and once it catches a virus, you have to start from scratch. We learned that the hard way.
