I love my computer. I am IN LOVE with my computer. I use it for everything - keeping in touch with family, work, managing my family pictures and videos, budgeting, creating web sites, etc. You get the idea. Without it, I'd be lost. So when my last laptop (a Gateway) went to its computer grave, I had to have a new computer and I had to have it now and within budget. After researching different brands and models, I decided on my HP Pavilion dv6636nr laptop. It has great graphics, a built-in webcam, AMD Turion64, broadcam wireless, and LightScribe direct disc labeling (this is so cool). It's a great laptop. My only complaints with my laptop is Windows Vista and memory. I found once getting my laptop home that I could no longer use my Sony Camcorder or HP printer with my new laptop because of compatibility issues with Vista. While initially disappointed and aggravated, I look at it this way - now I get more new and fun products to look forward to buying. I am having problems transferring video to dvd and I think it's a memory problem. I really thought I had enough memory but trying to transfer a year's worth of family video to one dvd is a no-go. Six months of video transfer works just fine though. I am more hopeful that this laptop will last me longer than my Gateway which started giving me problems within a few months of purchasing it and was out of commission shortly thereafter. I've had my hp laptop for four months now and no hardware problems. It's a great laptop on a budget.
