I have an HP Deskjet 940C printer at work. I've had it forever, print on it daily, and until it breaks I see no need to replace it. The one thing I do need to replace are the ink cartridges. I prefer using HP brand cartridges, specifically the HP78 Tri-color Ink Cartridge, along with the HP15 Black Ink Cartridge, both required for my HP printer. These HP ink cartridges consistently give me great copies, whether it's just a black and white document, color graphs for reports, or color photos.
With the HP78 Tri-color Inkjet Print Cartridge, I'm guaranteed to receive impressive, photo-quality color and reliable printing for my everyday business needs It includes a new print head with each cartridge I buy, which automatically tunes up the print quality.
The HP78 color cartridge will give me about 450 to 500 color pages depending on settings and the details being printed. I have some printed pages that go back 10 years and I can see no fading of ink that I can tell. This is a standard cartridge made for everyday printing and has an ink volume of 19 ml.
I've tried using a generic ink cartridge but found the quality was not there, and the ink did not last as long. My choice will always be the HP brand. Don't forget to recycle your ink cartridges no matter what brand you buy. HP does this for free at www.hp.com/recycle.
