Going somewhere? Consider taking along a slinky wardrobe. Knowing that I would be taking a long trip to Europe I had been looking for suitable wardrobe pieces. You know, wrinkle free, easy to wash out in a sink and quick drying if need be. I'm 5'1" and need a petite size for any pant to really fit me. While Jeans are a great choice for travelling sometimes you want to look a bit more stylish. Ross and Marshall's my usual favorite hunting grounds had only the occasional piece meant for a 6 foot Amazon.
One day while channel flipping I noticed a clearance event for Slinky brand travel knits on HSN. Georgeous colors and a nice array of dresses, skirts and tops. Then they showed a tunic with multicolor embroidery at the V-neck and even a matching pant. I ordered it on the spot, deciding that a black pant and top would be a smart choice.
The set survived rolled up in my suitcase and emerged wrinkle free. I have since washed them on both the delicate and handwash cycle numerous times and they always come out looking like new. I spilled juice and coffee on the tunic and washed it out in cold water, stain gone. The pants keep their shape and don't pouch out at the knee or at the tummy.
I bet you will receive compliments on the great look and fit and did I mention how comfortable the Slinky material is to wear? 10 hours on the plane and still looking great, that is what the Slinky travel knits are all about. There are no cons to report, except I wish I had bought another set in that beautiful turquoise. Well worth the price even at the regular $79 and I know I will pick up at least one more piece before my next trip.
