My favorite place to go for the fourth of July is Huntington Beach. My husband and I take our 3 kids every year. We usually stay at the Best Western and drive to the beach during the day.

==Why for the Fourth of July?==

Huntington Beach is amazing around the Fourth of July. Surf City 4K run is early in the morning and the Fitness Expo follows the run. The Kiwanas pancake breakfast is at Lake Park soon after the expo. Soon after that, at 10 am they have a parade. This year Miss America is going be the grand marshall of the parade. It will be the 105th anniversary of the parade. After the parade you can go to the huge expo by the beach and pier or spend the rest of the day swimming and relaxing by the beach with your friends and family. We always go with lots of family and we have a huge bbq while we wait out the day anticipating the fireworks at night. The beach is clean and beautiful and everyone that goes is really nice. We have never had a bad experience there. We usually go back to the motel room about 4pm and rest and relax before we head off again. When it gets dark, we grab our chairs, blankets and jackets (it get REALLY cold!) and we go back to the beach and watch the firworks going off on the pier. They are so beautiful especially because of the lights dancing off the ocean water.

==My opinion==

Fourth of July will always be my favorite holiday because we spend it at Huntington Beach. They city really makes you feel a part of the celebration and you will want to return year after year. My kids have so many great memories that they will be able to take with them onto adulthood. I really hope that it becomes a family tradition with their families as they get older. So if you are looking for a place to visit, Huntington Beach is the place, especially for the Fourth of July!
