In july 2008, I bought the cutest little dog I had ever seen. He's a s#&*zu and I wanted the best dog's food for him. I was used to buy my dog's food at the veterinary shop for my other dog so I did the same thing for this one.

The only problem was that this new puppy was sick every day with the dried food I had bought. After a few months, many tests and lots of money spent, my veterinary concluded that my dog was allergic to protein in the dried food. Doh! What to do now ?!?

She showed me this bag of new food from Medical - Royal Canin, called Hypoallergenic HP. It is formulated for food allergies. It is made with soy protein isolate hydrolysate. This product reduces the potential for skin and gastrointestinal reactions.

I was so glad we had finally found the problem. The second day my dog ate this new food, he was doing well.

You can only purchase this dried food at your veterinary. The food is quite expensive compared to dried food we find in supermarket. I don't remember exactly how much it cost but next time I buy some, I will update this review. I think the 8.8 lbs is about 30 $.

The food is offered in 2 sizes, 8.8 lbs and 17.6 lbs bags. This is good quality food and your dog will love it.
