I recently purchased Stratego, even though I had never played this game. The nice wooden board attracted me to this particular board game. I was also interested because I like to play strategy games.
This board game is for two players ages 6 and up. You set up your peices as you wish, you have a spy, majors, bombs, scouts, miners and so on, as you would in any army. The object of the game is to capture your opponents flag and take as many members of their army as you can. The number on each peice will determine who wins each 'battle', as an example I move a scout, number 2 to battle your unknown peice, which is a 4. Obviously the 4 will win because it is a higher number. If two scouts battle, they both lose and so on.
Stratego is easy to learn, and fun to play. It also involves elements of a memory game, as you want to remember what peice is where to avoid bombs, and know you can win a battle.
I will recommend Stratego to anyone who enjoys strategy and or war games.
