This bass has a nice thick sound, with a beautiful double cut-out shape. It is all black with a sleek round body with a smooth neck allowing for swift clean playing.

Although it does not have a thumb rest like some basses do, the majority of the time the 5th string is not used and can be used as a rest, since the fifth string is a low 'B'. Due to its active pickups the audio it sends to your amp is already at a tremendous volume due to its built-in preamp.

Although this bass both looks and sounds amazing for an incredible price, the catch is it has faulty wiring. It has a volume control knob, one to switch between pickups and another double layered knob. The top is for treble tone and the bottom is for bass tone. This is the know that has problems, try to adjust it once and then never touch it again. Turning this knob can often cause the bass to short-circuit and send an out to your amp at about half volume with very little bass. This is very unfortunate while playing live as one must continue playing and adjust that knob until sound comes back in full. This happens rarely though, so all in all for the price this bass is a great buy, just a little fidgety.
