Inglorious Bastards is the re-writing of World War II Quentin Tarantino's way. It follows three different stories, the first being the story of young Jewish refugee Shosanna Dreyfus (Melanie Laurent) and how she survived after witnessing the brutal killing of her entire family. The second story follows Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) and his group of Jewish Nazi hunters known as; The Bastards. They plan to take down the Third Reich and put fear into every Nazi heart by brutally killing and scalping every-last Nazi that is unlucky enough to come across their path. The thrid story follows Col. Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz) and his attempt to bring The Bastards down. The movie is brutally exciting and surprisingly witty. It was released in August '09 and was nominated for an astonishing 54 awards and won 57. It also rightfully won the Oscar for Best Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role; Christoph Waltz. The Movie is a Drama/Thriller and features outstanding performances by Brad Pitt, Melanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Eli Roth, and many other actors. Surprisingly Quentin Tarantino originally wrote the part of Lt. Aldo Raine for himself, but after getting the idea to put Brad Pitt in the part he simply couldn't see the movie any other way. Inglorious Bastards is brutal, action-packed, witty, and extremely exciting from beginning to end. I would strongly recommend seeing this movie.
