I own the Innotek Basic In ground Pet Fencing System, Model # SD-2000. Ease of installation depends on your ground condition, if you have hard ground it will take you longer to bury the wire than if your ground is soft. Instructions say to bury wire one to two inches deep, I have my front yard buried but just have the wire laying on top of the ground in the back yard due to some clearing that needs to be done. The system works just fine with the wire laid out above ground but it is subject to being broken more easily. I found the five hundred foot of twenty gauge wire that was suppled with the system insufficient for most yards and the twenty gauge wire is hard to find out side of ordering it from Innotek. I like it that you can contain an unlimited amount of dogs with the purchase of extra receiver collars, I don't like that there is no containment if you have a power failure.
Pros: Affordable, simple to install, unlimited number of pets, durable and water resistant collars.
Cons: Not enough wire for most yards, no containment if there is a power outage, cost of extra collars.
