These were always my favorite lollipops when I was a kid. Now, the concept of eating part of the lollipop so it is covered in saliva and then saving some for later seems a little gross, but back then it was perfect. You can stash the pop in your purse or clip the cap of it to your belt so you don't lose it, and the cap keeps the pop safe from gunk as well as from attracting bugs to feast on it.
I think these lollipops are some of the best tasting ones I’ve had. The cherry flavor is very sweet of course, but also pretty good, like they actually snuck a little fruit juice in there. It doesn't taste like cherry cough medicine like many cherry candies do. I also like the grape flavor for a similar reason. There are additional flavors now, but I haven’t tried them. To push the pop up, all you have to do is stick your finger into the underside of the tube, hence the word “push” in the name. This is an innovative idea, but in my experience, the inside of the tube can get sticky, especially if it’s hot outside and the pop starts to melt.
Unfortunately, this makes them still prone to messes, especially if you give them to kids.
