Before we moved to where we are now, we used to have a beautiful kindey bean shaped inground pool. As a kid I could easily waste an entire summer floating around, pretending there was a deep end shark, or playing Marco Polo.
When we moved though the luxory was taken away. We now had a home with no pool, but a huge acre of land. No pool! No pool!
We suffered many summers without a pool, learned the meaning of the game 'pool hopping', and we found ourselves at the ocean more times than not. However with the economy the way it is now, and a $10.00 parking fee for the cruddy Smith Point Park, we just cannot afford to trah la la to the ocean everyday like we used to.
2 weeks ago while browsing out local Target we found an Intex 15 X 42 Round Metal Frame Pool, for only $150.00 on sale down from $183.00.
Now it was no luxorious inground pool... but hell, it's a pool right?
Stepping up to pay for it, we realized the store had made a mistake and put a $300 pool on sale, when really it was supposed to be for a much smaller pool. With a little arguing, they had no choice but to honor their error. We walked out with a $300 pool for $150. SUH-WEEET!
Setting the Intex 15 X 42 Round Metal Frame Pool up was a cinch, and only required us to find themost level spot in our yard to set the pool up.
Everything is pretty much self explanitory. The bars all hoook into one another like a simple childs puzzle, spreading the liner was easy, and hooking up the included skimmer and filter was also a cinch. We truly did not think it would be this easy, but low and behold, no less than 2 hours later the pool was up and being filled with water.
This pool though needs extra TLC. Not that it is hard work, but when in the pool you have to be sure not to push off of the side liner, no diving, and always take the frigging ladder out at night to save yourself a lawsuit, or drowned child!!!! Common sense people!
With that said, the Intex 15 X 42 Round Metal Frame Pool has been nothing but a summer time blessing for our family.
The size is decent, and the water height is also decent for adults. Im 5'5 and the water level comes up well above my waist. Perfect for dipping and swimming around, while beating the summers heat waves.
