The Apple iPod has been so popular that it has evolved from just a product to a whole sub-culture. From the classic all white to the earbuds, an iPod is recognized by almost anybody. There is a reason for it's huge popularity though, it's a user friendly prosuct with a great look. The iPod itself is very elegant and the all white look isn't going out of style anytime soon. The user interface is one of the simplest to use and the click wheel is ingenious. The color screen is decent, but doesn't live up to some of its competitors. The software that comes with the device is just as easy to use and has a great look as well. The audip quality is fine for most users, but you'll most likely want to upgrade from the cheap earbuds they give you to a nicer pair. The extra features are limite, but what it does have it does well. The picture viewer allows you to view the thumbnails and full screen versions easily, the games are enjoyable, and you can add your contacts to it. It's missing a FM tuner and other useful features, but hopefully that will be fixed with future generations. So far there's only tw real complaints I have. The first is the batter, which isn't user replacable. The second is the back of the iPod. When you first get it the mirror like finish is very nice, but after a matter of hours scratches and fingerprints become painfully evident. Over months the back of your iPod looks awful, and all those cases just cover up the classic look of the iPod. Overall, the Apple iPod is a great product and the most user friendly one on the market right now.
