I got given my iPod nano about two years ago for my 18th birthday. I am a music junkie - so it was a long time coming. Not having to lug around a CD player or a radio is fantastic - better yet you can store more songs than a CD on this bad boy and it being smaller than palm size (really this thing fits in your pocket) is really what seals the deal.
I do have a few minor complaints about the product though. The battery life is average - as long as you remember to charge it nightly you'll be fine but it's a hassle sometimes especially when a power point isn't easy to find. Also the display scratches easily so you'll be forced to buy a case or worse yet have a badly scratched iPod. Also 2 gig is rather small, you'll have to change the songs over often to not get tired of them.
Overall even though I didn't purchase the product, I am extremely happy with it. You might want to fork out the extra cash for a video/bigger size iPod if you can afford it, but if you want something cute and small for the missus you are onto a winner!
