I have always stayed as far away from iPods as possible, well, that is until i actually used a Zune and the Creative Zen. Now that I have finally purchased and used the second generation iTouch, I am extremely impressed with it in comparison. It is a lot slimmer than both of the aforementioned products, gets really good battery life, and while only having 32Gb of memory (for the high end version) it definitely suits my needs. And that is not to mention the Applications that it supports. If PDA (Personal Data Assistant) hadn't become such a derogatory term, I would not hesitate to call this one. Sure, it excels as a media player, but this product is far more. I use it for TODO lists and time management, an alarm clock, to check my email in Starbucks, even games and entertainment. Apples application store for both the iPhone and iTouch is outstanding and includes applications ranging from the downright useful to the entertaining to beyond the obscure. If you have the money to spend on a new toy, definitely give this a shot.
