I was using a very popular brand of dishwashing liquid until about December of 2008. You know how the winter months can really cause your skin on your hands to be extremely dry. My hands just seemed to be especially dry like it really wasn't the weather. I started to change a few things one at a time, like my hand soap. There wasn't any difference so it wasn't the hand soap. I decided, even though my dishsoap was a popular brand and had so many different varieties, to switch. I tried another brand and still wasn't happy with my dry skin. Finally I decided, at my mother's suggestion, to try Ivory. Ivory is an old favorite and has always stated on the bottle and in advertising, that it is gentle on the hands. I tried it and am very pleased with the outcome. My hands look and feel much better. We don't wash alot of dishes because we have a dishwasher but if you choose some of these dishwashing liquids, they can dry out your hands. I think it does great with cleaning the dishes but maybe a slight lacking in getting the grease off in skillets. I can live with it though. I just use a little bit more and scrub more, nothing to complain about at all. I'm sticking with the old favorite, Ivory a brand you can trust!
