I bought my Mac in July. Shortly afterwords they announced iWork 08 and I knew I had to get my hands on it. I ordered it as soon as I could and anticipated it arriving. As soon as I finished installing I wasn't sure what to do. Its pretty hard to figure out how to mess with an office sweet so I decided not to touch anything until I needed too. That was pretty hard. My fingers were itching to open up the software, but I decided to practice self control.
Soon enough, I was able to naturally use each program. One of the most exciting things was using Numbers. Numbers is the new spreadsheet program in the iWork suite and was suprisingly pleasent. Excel was always boring and so complex it was pretty daunting to try things out. Now I love making spreadsheets.
The updates to Pages and Keynote were also pretty good. They were both faster and had new templates. As far as I'm cocerned the updates to Pages was somewhat minor, but in Keynote things god even more cool. I don't think I could hapily use Word or Powerpoint again.
