I recently purchased another Jasmine by Takamine S35 Acoustic Guitar in black after owning a beige one for two years. This is definitely one of the best acoustic guitars I have ever come across. The first thing I was attracted to when I walked into the music store was the look of the guitar. This guitar carries the classic look of an acoustic guitar. The finish is absolutely beautiful with beige version looking gold in certain lights.
The Jasmine S35 Acoustic is also a great starter guitar due to it's durability. The strings that the guitar originally come with are extremely durable, and I never broke them once, even though I'm a pretty hard strummer. If the strings are not changed every now and again the sound quality seems to decrease a tad. The finish on this guitar is amazing, I don't know how many times I've carried it to and from shows and hit it on walls by accident, without damaging it.
It's great for performing on stage and on camping trips. Unlike many acoustic guitars, the beige Jasmine does not have a very strong tinny sound. This is a guitar with a huge volume potential. When strumming with your pick it can even rival an electric guitar. One complaint I had with the black Jasmine was that it indeed had a tinny sound.
The Jasmine by Takamine S35 Acoustic Guitar is a great guitar for beginners, but it comes out of tune often when strumming chords.
