Jason and the Argonauts is a movie I would classify as a guy flick, but I must admit that I've watched it with my husband and thought it was interesting.
Todd Armstrong portrays Jason, who goes back to Thessaly to claim his throne after having traveled for 20 years. But he must first find the Golden Fleece. Jason puts together a crew and off they go to get the Fleece. Easier said than done, though. There are many adventures that Jason has with his crew, as getting the Fleece is no easy task. The special effects are pretty good in this movie. There are some special features, too, such as interactive menus, theatrical trailers, scene selections and an interview with the producer of the film.
Jason and the Argonauts is rated G and is approximately 104 minutes long. It also stars Nancy Kovack, Gary Raymond and Laurence Naismith.
The movie contains some great scenes that really give the viewer a chance to see the special effects. I especially like the battle scene with an army of skeletons. Pretty neat. We also have a scene containing Hydra, a hugh giant made out of bronze with seven snake heads. He's a scary fellow.
All in all, not a bad movie.
