Jaws is an epic tale of a beast versus man. The shark is actually the star of the movie. There are very colorful characters, such as Quinn, the shark hunter, and an ocean front sheriff who is afraid of the water.
The opening scene is a party on the beach. A young couple has had too much to drink and they leave the party together to go swimming. The girl goes in the water and the boy passes out on the beach, missing the first attack by Jaws. Her body is found the next day.
I was 6 years old when my grandmother took me to see this movie. My mom told her not to because it would scare me, but she did it anyway. I loved the movie and came home with a Jaws tshirt and towel. Now I watch this movie every time it comes on tv and I own the 25th anniversary collector's edition.
I like this movie because it brings back memories of seeing this movie with my grandmother. I also like that the movie is unique in that they scare you with the sounds first and you don't even see the shark until the movie is halfway through.
This DVD has bonus features that includes a trivia game, a section on the making of Jaws, and some deleted scenes and outtakes.
