I really like Shea Butter moisturizers but I have had a hard time finding any drugstore brand of lotion that is more than just a smidge of shea butter in their product, so I have tried several. Shea Butter is great for my skin, but most of the high quality Shea Butter lotions are expensive for daily use. But this Jergen's Moisturizer has a deep penetrating softening quality that works even on my really scaley elbows and chapped knees. If you have a nut allergy or a latex allergy, you many want to avoid all shea butter products as it is a nut with a natural silicone like quality - bad for allergies but good for that dewy sheen on skin and for moisture retention. I had a reaction to straight shea butter but found this lotion to be a good middle ground of no bad skin reactions while having enough shea butter to really soften my skin. The scent is pleasant - not unnatural and it is very faint on the skin. It absorbs quickly into my skin. I find I do not need to use it every day since it is so moisturizing. Jergen's has a few shea butter products of this line with varying degrees of consistency and scent so you can choose a good shea butter cream to your liking.
