This is a review on the JG M4 s-system airsoft gun. This is the enhanced version and it was purchased from AirsoftGI.com for about $165.

My first impressions on the gun (out of the box) were very good. The build was solid and there were minimal shaking parks. The body itself is ABS plastic but the hand guard and rails are all metal. The barrel and the gear box of the gun are also metal. The weight is nicely balanced, although it is slightly front heavy (I recommend a forward grip). The pistol grip in relation to the trigger is very well placed. The magazine included with the gun is full metal with a great feel to it. The butt-stock, unfortunately, moves around a bit but is not noticeable unless you shake the gun. For tactical purposes, it is more than adequate. The (mini type) battery is placed in the hand-guard with minimal room (recommend a battery box). There are RIS rails on the top of the gun and on all sides of the hand guard.

The front and rear sights have the ability to be put down so you can use attachments such as a red dot (shown in picture). The charging handle is fully functional and allows the user to access the hop-up system. The butt-stock is retractable with 6 positions. The magazine release is functional with no un-needed motions or effort (you push the button and gravity does the rest). The fire-selector is also fully functional with 3 options: safe, semi-auto, and full-auto.

Speed and accuracy are decent, minimal sighting in was required and the maximum muzzle velocity is about 400-420fps. Effective distance is about 120 feet. For field airsoft games, this gun is exceptional. For CQB (Close Quarter Combat) battles, it's even better.

This gun is good no matter what style of airsofter you are. It is highly customizable and can adapt to almost anything. I recommend it to anyone, whether you're a beginner or an expert.
