During Thanksgiving break me and my family headed to Branson, Missouri. We went and to see the Jim Stafford Show. I liked it much better than I thought I would. This is definately a family friendly show so be sure to bring the kiddo's. The theatre is located on the Main Street in Branson, Missouri and very easy to find. The ticket prices are pretty reasonable compared to other shows in Branson. For adults the price range is $29.99-$32.99+tax depending on where you would like to sit. For children under 6 the ticktets are $3.15+tax and for 7-12 year olds the price is $9.95-$12.95 depending on where you sit. This is a variety show that changes all the time. When we went he sang, did some comedy, his children also played instruments and sang, and there was dancing. I liked that the whole family was invovled in the show. There was Jim, his wife, and their two children ages 11 and 15. There were also other entertainers in the show. I did have some likes and dislikes so let's take a look at them-
Likes: The show changes all the time so it is never the same. Jim is an amazing guitar player. The show had some pretty funny jokes. His kids are really talented and were a lot of fun to watch, both his children play the piano and sing and his son plays the violin. He has two dancers who are amazing. The dancers did a Russian type dance and a slower Beauty and the Beast dance. The lighting was really good and not annoying or too bright. The overall variety in the show flowed together smoothly and was a lot of fun. He lets the audience participate in certain parts of the show. For the price, the show was well worth seeing.
Dislikes: We were seated about 20 rows from the stage and if you are short, you do not want a tall person sitting in front of you. He had a guest star that night come sing song Christmas songs that i was not very fond of. The stuff in the giftshop and concession stand were expensive. The parking lot of the theatre is on a big hill, so try to get there early to get a good parking spot.
Even with the minor dislikes I say if you have the time and money try to catch this show the next time you are in Branson, Missouri. More information can be found at his website: http://www.jimstafford.com/
There is sure to be something in this show for everyone.
