I work in an office that does not require formal business wear. I like that we can dress casually, but I still like to appear neat and pulled together. JJill has nice casual clothing that is comfortable, but nice looking and fashionable. One of the items I really like is the Compassion T-shirt.
The shirt is short-sleeved and comes in a variety of colors. Most anyone should be able to find a color that suits them. The fit is not too tight and not too loose. And the neckline is nice for wearing a necklace, but not so low as to show off too much skin. It sits about at your hip for all the different sizes - which range from XXS to XL. The shirt is a nice soft cotton but it keeps its fit through many washings. It may have a bit of spandex to help keep it fitting nicely, but I'm not positive. The fit, along with the nice satin edging around the neck of the t-shirt, makes it a dressier option than a standard t-shirt. Along with my easy care dress pants from Old Navy, it's just right for my office.
Another great thing about this t-shirt is that $1 from the sale of each tee is donated to the JJill Compassion Fund "The J. Jill Compassion Fund is committed to providing support to community-based organizations that help poor and homeless women become self-sufficient."
The t-shirt is imported and that is a bit disappointing to me. I do hope that JJill is not giving to the compassion fund while supporting a sweatshop somewhere else.
I've owned many of these shirts over the past few years and when I lost weight, I even passed some on to my mom. They still look great and have a nice fit and good color. If you are looking for a nice, semi-dressy t-shirt, I recommend looking into the JJill Compassion T-Shirt.
