If you're a Journey fan like I am, this album "Generations" leaves you asking yourself, "Who am I listening to again"? You would never guess that you were listening to an album from Journey. Steve Augeri has replaced the amazing Steve Perry, and with Perry's departure comes a new sound from the legends of Journey. Each band member puts their writing to the test with this album as well as a mix of genres. "Generations" portrays a more hard rock almost melodic feel to it. Steve Augeri does pack a powerful punch when it comes to keeping the power and emotion to what everyone knows and loves when it comes to the band Journey.

Augeri does keep the sound of Steve Perry alive and well, and can give Steve Perry a run for his money when it comes to giving it his all.

The album does tend to sway from song to song with its hard rock feel than back to the melodic feel; I believe that they could have made the flow of the album a lot better.

The songs include:

1."Faith In The Heartland"

2. "The Place In Your Heart"

3. "A Better Life"

4. "Every Generation"

5. "Butterfly"

6. "Believe"

7. "Knowing That You Love Me"

8. "Out Of Harms Way"

9. "In Self-Defense"

10. "Better Together"

11. "Gone Crazy"

12. "Beyond the Clouds"

13. "It's Never Too Late"

This is a good album, but not great. But as a true Journey fan, we all have to respect and go with the changes. I bought this album at Best Buy for $13.
