My house is decorated in the Victorian Style, so when I found this gorgeous picture by Home Interiors, I was thrilled! I have it displayed on a brass easel in my living room. It's a picture of an old fashioned Victorian parlor, with red velvet drapes. A lady is sitting at the piano, wearing a beautiful full length white ruffled Victorian dress. There's a pretty multi-colored floral arrangement on the piano, and a small white dog lying beneath it.
But the cutest part about the picture, is a little barefoot girl (dressed in white, with a bow in her hair) is leaning on the piano bench, on top of her pink blanket. She's looking up at her mom with love, and I suppose saying, "May I Play?" (Since that's the name of the picture.) The whole effect is very elegant, but cozy and charming as well.
The picture is matted with a large emerald green mat, trimmed in rose and gold. The frame is dark brown, but it's trimmed in gold on the sides and the front.
I'm not sure if this picture has been discontinued, but Home Interiors is always bringing out new artwork, and everything about their home decor is first class and lovely. Often you can find the discontinued artwork on Ebay. Home Interiors also has a website that you can visit at: http://www.homeinteriors.com/. This was just the touch that I needed, to pull together the look I wanted in my living room.
