I have a three year old gelding who is very playful. He especially like licking and chewing on things, so when I saw the Jolly Ball at TSC, I knew he would love it!
At first I just threw it into his stall and he had a good time checking it out. He moved it around with his nose before taking a big bite. The thick rubber didn't show a mark, and the ball deflated with pressure then reformed when he stopped biting. GREAT! No worries about him tearing it up and maybe swallowing a piece of rubber.
I rotate between having the Jolly Ball tied to the side of his stall (so that he can swing it back and forth) and having it loose in the stall with him.
This is a great, tough toy that keeps his mind busy and keeps him from developing bad habits due to boredom.
