The Kensington Saddlebag is easily my favorite backpack ever. I have had mine for at least 5 years, I treat it rough and I've never had any problems with it.

The Sadldebag comes in black or brown color schemes. You can carry it in 3 different ways: with a long strap over your shoulder, by the handle on top, or like a regular backpack with back straps stored in the back pocket. All three are comfortable, and at various times I've elected to use all three. When closed the Saddlebag has a pouch in front and one in back, and when opened it has the standard front zip pouch with multiple compartments, the main area of the bag for various items, and a notebook holder.

Even though it says the notebook area will hold up to 14", it fits my 17" widescreen laptop just fine. The handle is comfortable if you elect to carry it around like that, the material on the over-the-shoulder strap is comfortable as well. I am very hard on my backpacks, often overstuffing them around, throwing them down, dropping them, kicking them, and I've never had a single part on this backpack have any issue. No holes have developed in the exterior, no zippers have broken, nothing.

If mine ever broke I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. Perfect especially for a college student who wants something more functional than a cheap backpack, but stylish and rugged enough to stand the test of time.
