I am an avid reader, and I especially like reading murder mysteries. If they happen to be humorous, that's all the better.

Well, I have read such a book that was given to me as a gift. It's called Killer Blonde, and it's by Laura Levine. This is the first one of her books that I have read, but it won't be the last.

Laura Levine is a comedy writer and has written for some well known shows, such as The Bob Newhart Show, Laverne and Shirley, Three's Company, The Love Boat, and others. She has made this book so entertaining to read.

Jaine Austen is a freelance writer, and in Killer Blonde she is hired to ghostwrite a book for SueEllen Kingsley, who is a Beverly Hills socialite. The assignment pays three thousand dollars a week, so Jaine decides she can't pass it up, though ghostwriting is really something she would rather not do. When SueEllen ends up electrocuted in her bathtub, Jaine puts her sleuthing skills to work to try and find the killer, especially because Heidi, SueEllen's ridiculed stepdaugter, is the prime suspect, and Jaine knows Heidi didn't do it. Or did she? That is what Jaine intends to find out.

This is a very funny and entertaining book. There are others in the series, and I intend to read all of them. If you are a mystery lover and also love to laugh, I would recommend Killer Blonde by Laura Levine.
