The price was right ($5.99 for a convenient to use 1.4 oz. tube), it has a sun protection factor of 8, the company does not test on animals, and the product "contains no animal ingredients, artificial colors, or unnecessary chemicals..." The product contains no oil or fragrance, and they don't overdo it with the packaging. However, there are only 6 shades to choose from, so you may need to mix two together (or mix with another cosmetic product) to get the right color. It seems to be a fairly long lasting product, but it's "moisturizing" capabilities are questionable. The first time I used this tinted moisturizer, I used it by itself (I bought this product because I was looking for ONE product that did EVERYTHING I needed it to - moisturize, even out redness, and protect my face from the sun), and I was not happy with it. It doesn't really absorb into the skin, it just sort of sits on top of the skin, drawing attention to dry, flaky areas. It literally dried as I was applying it, giving my face a chalky appearance. My skin did NOT feel hydrated at all. I used the product several times after that, but I mixed it with a generous amount of another (trusted) facial moisturizer. It was definitely an improvement, but I'm sure that's diluting the already flimsy SPF8, and now I'm having to use 2 products instead of 1. In all fairness, I have concluded that this just isn't a product for me. I do think it would be a great moisturizer for a teen, or anyone who has very oily skin.
