A few years ago we were looking for a cheap toaster to bring on vacation. We picked this one up at Walgreens for 9.99. It has survived a kitchen remodel and is still working. We never intended to keep it this long.
While I would not recommend this be the permanent toaster in your kitchen, if you need a budget toaster that will do a fair toasting job, this might be the toaster for you.
This is a 2-slice white toaster by Kitchen Gourmet. It is white plastic with a metal bottom. It has extra wide slots with a toast shade control dial. There is a crumb tray on the bottom. Item was made in China.
If you are just interested in making toast, this unit is pretty good. This toaster does not do very well on frozen things like toaster struedel. Those items sometimes come out almost burnt on the outside and still frozen on the inside.
The white housing has not been the easiest to keep stain free. The outside of this toaster can get very hot, so be careful with children.
If I were looking for another inexpensive temporary kitchen appliance, I would not hesitate to purchase Kitchen Gourmet from Walgreens. For 9.99, we got our money's worth.
