Knowing is a pretty well-known movie, but I'm pretty sure it's not the best. I mean, it's pretty good, but I've definitely seen better.
First of all, I don't exactly like the plot, as it could have used some work. The stuff about the letters and the numbers was pretty good, but it was the aliens part that screwed it up. Everything seemed to fit together, except for the aliens. It just seemed out of place. Which leads me to my second point: the ending.
I absolutely hated the ending. After the aliens come and take the children away to another world, everyone and everything is completely obliterated on earth. This ending is completely off, and is totally uncreative. Then, the children arrive at this creepy land (where there apparently is oxygen) and run off towards a huge tree in the distance (also random) and, well, it just ends there.
But don't think that I completely hated the movie, because I didn't. I thought the acting was terrific and the video quality was fantastic. The plot was also pretty decent (until the part about the aliens). I especially like the part about the super solar flare, as this adds a bit of futuristic science fiction into the movie.
In the end, I thought this was a decent movie. It was pretty good, but it really could have used some tuning up. I guess it was worth watching.
