I got this camera for christmas this year and I've been snapping pictures and testing it out for the last 3 days. I don't have a memory card yet so I'm not sure how good that is, but so far I've taken about 100 pics. so I guess the internal memory is pretty good. If you follow the setup instructions ( like your supposed to anyway) and load the product disc and register it first, then when you go to transfer your pictures it automatically detects whether or not the camera is registered and asks you if you want to register it now ( which is a good idea ) or later. The only thing I wasn't really pleased with was the zoom. I tried to zoom in on somebody that was about 30 feet away and it turned out blurry. It has different settings that you can choose from for certain things -- video, blur reduction, auto focus, distant scenery, close ups, low light, Portrait, night portrait, sport, snow, beach, night landscape, text ( for pictures of writing and documents), Fireworks, Flowers, sunset, Backlight ( for when the light is behind the subject being photographed ), Museum ( when you dont want a flash ) self - portrait, Children ( for action photos of children in bright light ) . I decided to choose the landscape option since the auto option didn't turn out that great, but the result was the same. If you are zooming in on something close like 10-15 feet away it turns out fine. Also on my computer my old camera would download my picts. into the "My Pictures" file, this one puts it in the "Public Pictures" file. All in all I love my new camera.
