I recently upgraded my EasyShare camera and couldn't be happier with the results so far. The resolution on my new camera has been crystal clear and at 12.1 megapixels, there isn't much detail missing from any of my shots. The camera is compatible with SD/SDHC memory cards, so you can store as many pictures or videos as you card will allow you to. I love the color LCD display screen because it displays exactly what your picture is going to look like whether. This camera takes high definition video which is a really nice extra feature as I would have been satisfied with regular video. The Z1285 comes equipped with digital image stabilization which reduces blurry pictures taken by hand. I haven't taken a blurry picture yet, so I guess it's working pretty well. The timer is very easy to use and is activated with one, two or three touches of the timer button and then clicking the shutter. The Smart Scene mode of the camera automatically adjusts the shutter speed and flash to whatever condition you may be shooting in for perfectly lit pictures every time. The 5X zoom allows you to get up close and personal with your subjects without having to disturb the scene yourself and is very simple to use. I haven't had a chance to test its durability yet and hope that the opportunity never presents itself, but it seems very well made and very sturdy. I shopped around for a little while and it's the best price I found on a resolution this high. If you're in the market for an excellent digital camera with the tradition of quality represented by the Kodak name, I'd highly recommend the EasyShare Z1285.
