We recently finished a bathroom in the basement of our house. My husband found a vanity top he liked and we looked for months for a cabinet we liked to go with it. We wanted something a little different that had some character to it and did not look like a basic in stock home improvement store cabinet.
The one we finally settled on is part of the Crosscreek cabinetry line from Kraftmaid and is called Kentfield. The cabinet is sold as a vanity base only so you need to purchase a top for it separately. It comes in 30", 36", 48" and 60 inch sizes. The one we purchased measures 36". The cabinet is made of solid wood and looks more like a piece of furniture than a standard cabinet. It has a warm brown hazelnut glaze on it and it is darker in the grooves and around the raised parts of the door and the frame. It has 2 drawers and one door and included the hardware which is a bronze color. The drawers have dovetail construction and concealed drawer glides. One drawer also comes with plastic trays inside for organizing things like cosmetics. It comes completely assembled and includes a lifetime warranty.
Had my husband not purchased the top many months ago, I would have gone for a larger size cabinet in the room once I saw how much space there actually was but I would have chosen this same cabinet. It's built strong and sturdy and looks beautiful. It was a bit more expensive than most of the other cabinets Lowe's had but it looks much nicer and appeared more custom made than any of the others we saw so for us it was worth it. We received a 10% off any purchase coupon from Lowe's when we moved that we were able to use on this purchase so that helped lower the price some as well.
