My mom was the one that originally came across this brand of knife when she was shopping with my sister. They picked me up one mainly because it was a bright blue color and looked exciting. Boy was it a good purchase!

Kuhn Rikon blades are made of high carbon stainless steel which means the blade stays sharp. I can attest to this claim as the first knife I got I've had for probably about 5 months now and it's as sharp as the day I took it out of the package. Kuhn Rikon's knives come in a wide variety of bright colors which I like best. I have a blue one and a red one. When I am cooking and have to cut up a vegetable, fruit, or meat I always grab for one of these knives. If neither are clean when I need one I am actually really disappointed and hate using standard knives.

Each knife comes with its on little cover that slips over the blade to protect it while it's in your utensil draw. The knives are dishwasher safe and wash up very well, I've never had any problem with food getting caked on during a wash cycle. I believe they come in 6 different colors; I would love to get one of each color!

If you are looking for some good, reasonably priced, and also fun kitchen knives I would definitely check out the knives made by Kuhn Rikon.
