My daughter has this really popular ladybug toy. You see it all over the place. It looks fun. It's a little dome with a ladybug head on top. You push down the top and all these balls sort of popcorn around inside the dome.
The thing is my daughter really likes this toy. She loves to watch the balls pop around inside. The problem is that her toddler hands cannot effectively push down the pump to make the balls move. So guess who has to push it down roughly nine gazillion times a day? That's right. It's Mommy.
Mommy doesn't care too much about watchign the ladybug balls pop around. In fact, she gets tired of it pretty quickly.
This toy could be redesigned, I think, to make it better for a toddler. My daughter can't push it down hard enough to get the pumping action going. She also can't push it straight down, so it gets sort of stuck on the way down.
I say skip this one. It's cute, but it's too much work for Mommy.
