I suggest that everyone go to Las Vegas at least once in their lifetime!
I went with my wife and in-laws (there were 4 of us) and it cost approximately $2, 000 for six nights and flight from the East Coast for all four of us total. This price included a "power pass" for one full day for all four of us. This included many attractions at little to no cost including the wax museum, some food places, some shows, etc.
We stayed at Treasure Island resort and casino which is right in the middle of the strip. I suggest checking out many casinos and shows while there, and to use the rail line which is very inexpensive and easy to use. You can also choose to use the buses, but you wait for sometime and they are slower. You could also take a cab but you WILL be ripped off.
We saw one show while there and that was Cirque de Soliel "O" at the Bellagio which was FANTASTIC! We had front row balcony seats for $99.00 a piece, but it was worth every penny!
I only gambled about $600.00 (i won $400 the first 20 minutes i was there) and lost it all, but it lasted me all week.
The pool at TI was pretty small, and if your looking for a larger pool, i would recommend Mandalay Bay as that pool was huge!
There are many free attractions like the volcano at The Mirage, the Siren Show at TI (which was terrible) and many other shows througout the strip.
The boat rides at the Venitian were good, along with the aquarium at Mandalay Bay. If you bring kids, most places have stuff for them as well. If your single, there are many clubs that have free admission if you arrive early.
If your looking for a place that has everything, i highly recommend Las Vegas and you will NOT be able to see everything even if you stay a month!
