I'm a college student renting a home and live in a house with no central air or heating. This winter our house got dead cold and my girlfriend gave me this exact heater. Needless to say it is a good investment and worth the price that it costs. It heated my room very nicely and I would recommend this to any college student wanting to maybe heat a dorm room or for single room heating. It has a nice thermometer and when turned to lower settings it will turn itself on and off to save power and keep the room at a constant temperature. The only downside to this heater is the fact that it doesn't tell you exact degree that you can heat to but rather uses a circle system on the dial to measure the temperature.
It has a button to make the heater rotate and has 2 modes for fan speeds and then a third mode that makes the heater operate as a small fan. At the highest setting the heater uses 1500 watts and at its lowest setting it uses 900 watts. I used it all winter when it would be 20 degrees in our house because we didn't have central heat and wanted to cut down on the gas bill. It kept my room really toasty to where you could sleep in your underwear.
