It seems that everyone in our family loves to torture us by getting really noisy toys for our children. This is a really noisy toy. It is also very sensitive, so if you don't turn it off via the switch inside, it will go off in the middle of the night for no reason.
However, this little puppy has a lot of learning features. It teaches counting, songs, colors and body parts. My two year old loves to sing the songs with it. One of the songs is the alphabet song, but that's the only way it teaches ABCs. It is interactive, but one thing I don't care for is it will jump to whatever button is pressed, whenever it is pressed. So it cuts off in the middle of a song or talking and switches to whatever else has been activated. I really prefer toys to finish their phrases before starting another because I think the educational value is lost when that happens.
The kids enjoy it, so I guess I have to just put up with the noisiness factor. Overall, it's a great toy if you have some tolerance for it.
