LeAnn Rimes has been singing for years. She had become fairly well known for her singing by the time she was 13 and at the age of 17 (in 1992) she released this CD of country music standards. The Cd is titled LeAnn Rimes. Despite her young age she really knows how to belt out a tune be it a current song or a country music classic. In this CD she covers some of the all time great hits of country music.

She starts out doing a few of Patsy Cline's hits such as Crazy, Leavin' On Your Mind, She's Got You and she excels at I Fall To Pieces. She also sings the Patsy Cline/BobWills hit Faded Love. She tackles some of Hank Williams songs such as Your Cheating Heart and Lovesick Blues which are probably my two favorite songs on the CD. She goes on to perform the Janis Joplin hit Me and Bobby McGee. Some of the other songs she does for this CD is a remake of Ray Charles's Born to Lose, Marty Robbin's Don't Worry and a new song called Big Deal.

It's hard to believe how good this woman sings both then and now. This is one of my favorite country music CDs.
